We visit your home, assess your inventory, and provide an accurate, no-obligation quote. No surprises on moving day — just a clear price upfront.

2. Careful Packing & Loading

Our trained crew wraps furniture, pads valuables, and loads everything securely onto our truck. We treat every item as if it were our own.

3. Same-Day, Efficient Delivery

We transport your belongings to your new address and place every item where you want it. Most local RGV moves are completed the same day.

All local moves include disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture, protective padding and wrap, and a licensed, insured crew — at no extra charge.

  • Do you charge hourly or flat rate for local moves?

    We offer both options depending on the size and complexity of your move. During your free in-home estimate, we'll recommend the pricing structure that gives you the best value. There are no hidden fees — your quote is your price.

  • Is there a minimum number of hours for a local move?

    Yes, most local moves have a 2-hour minimum. This covers travel time to your origin address and back to our facility. We'll be transparent about minimums during your estimate.

  • What does the local moving service include?

    Every local move includes a fully trained and licensed crew, a moving truck sized for your job, protective padding and stretch wrap for furniture, and basic furniture disassembly and reassembly. Packing materials such as boxes and packing paper are available at an additional cost.

  • How far in advance should I book my local move?

    We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons (summer months and end-of-month dates). That said, we'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute moves when availability allows.

  • Is Rick's Moving & Storage licensed and insured?
